Garnet Opal (Clutter) Mudge (aka “Grandma Babe”), age 96, and Clutter/Mudge family matriarch, of Wheeling, WV passed away peacefully at Liza’s Place with her three children by her side on November 9, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Wheeling where she lived a full and active life.
Garnet was preceded in death by her parents Plennie and Jessie (Cross) Clutter, daughter Erin, husband Ronald A Mudge, brothers Winfred, Elwood, Bernard, Plennie Clutter and sister Mildred (Clutter} Thomas as well as beloved brother and sister in laws.
Garnet is survived by her children Christine (Fred) Richter, Ronald (Crystal) Mudge III, Lisa (Scott) Steil, grandchildren Jennifer (T D) Maze, Jeremy (Liz) Richter, Kelly (Phil) Hoover, Joe (Amy) Mudge, Cole Steil, Jadyn Steil, great grandchildren Faith Richter, Wilson Richter, Jonah Maze, Emaline Richter, Beckett Richter, Neve Richter, Micah Hoover.
Friends will be received on Friday November 15, 2024 from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) and on Saturday November 16, 2024 from 9 am until services at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
