CYNTHIA SPARKSMAN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cynthia E. Sparksman, 72, who went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2024, at Wheeling Hospital.

Born on August 2, 1952, in Bellaire, OH, Cynthia lived a life filled with love, grace, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Cynthia was a proud graduate of Wheeling High School, class of 1971. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose legacy will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to know her.

Preceded in death by her maternal mother, Mary A. Sparksman; grandparents, William and Icie Sparksman; aunt, Dorothy Redmond; uncle, Augustine Redmond; great- aunt. Ruby Marshall; nephew. Anthony H. Biddings II; and cousin, Melvin Marshall.

Cynthia leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories and an indelible mark on the lives of her loved ones.

Cynthia is survived by her loving companion of 52 years, Dennis R. Rudder of Wheeling, WV; her devoted daughter, Regina (Chris) Batten of Vienna, WV; and her beloved grandchildren, Jordan and Alana Batten of Vienna. She also leaves behind her sister, Joyce Sparksman Chambers of Wheeling; and cousins, Willie (Cheri) Sparksman of Bellaire, OH, Joey Sparksman, William Sparksman, and Stacey Sparksman, all of Wheeling.

In honoring Cynthia’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
