MARK CLEGG

Mark G. Clegg, 66, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 27, 2024.

He was born February 10, 1958, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Paul Clegg and Chloris Rankin Clegg.

Mark was a retired heavy equipment operator and harbor boat pilot for American Electric Power’s Mitchell Plant. He attended Union Local Schools and graduated from JVS in 1976. His interests included dirt track racing, farming, working on old cars and most importantly spending time with and driving his grandkids around the farm on his golf cart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Robertson and brother-in-law, Clifford Stillion.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tina M. McCort Clegg; two children, Mallory Clegg and Sam (Chelsea) Clegg; two grandchildren, Kennedy and Mark Clegg; a brother, Paul “Wayne” (Debbie) Clegg; and two sisters, Beverly Stillion and Nancy Taylor; mother-in-law, Snow Lechnar; brothers-in-law, Sean (Patty) McCort and Brian (Tammy) McCort; best friends, Davey (Joy) Heath and Brian (Kathy) Street; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Gary Rankin officiating. The burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
