Thousands Without Power After Storms Hit Region
Thousands of people in the Northern Panhandle are without power after storms rolled through, bringing winds that damaged buildings and knocked down power lines.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office reported damage to the Cabela Drive Sheetz and downed lines. Appalachian Power’s outage map showed more than 3,100 people without power in Ohio and Marshall counties as of 8:30 p.m., with most outages found in the Wheeling area.
