The Wheeling Fire Department responded to a house fire on Water Street Thursday afternoon and quickly got the blaze under control. WFD got called to 4302 Water St. around 3:30 for a report of smoke coming from the home. Firefighters put the fire out by 4 p.m. No injuries were reported and everyone made it safely out of the house. The upper floor of the home has significant damage but it did not spread to the rest of the house. The cause of the fire is unknown. (Photo by Niamh Coomey)
