Wheeling Island Hosts Eats and Beats Festival

WHEELING — Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack invites everyone to the Wheeling Island Eats and Beats Festival this weekend with an array of food and live entertainment today and Saturday, Sept. 27-28.

There will be a beer garden featuring domestic and craft beers, more than 10 regional food trucks, local vendors and craft booths, and fun activities for people of all ages.

Today, Friday, Sept. 27, the Eats and Beats Festival will take place from 3-9 p.m. with live musical entertainment from DJ Daner at 3 p.m., Matt Van Fossen at 5 p.m. and Eli & the Mojo Kings at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, the festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Musical entertainment will feature Willie and Family Live Band at 1 p.m., Neon Union at 4 p.m. and Moonshine Bandits at 7 p.m.

The live entertainment at the outdoor venue is free.

Also on Saturday night, tickets are available for a FlavorFest Pairing Event in the Wheeling Island Casino Showroom. The event will take place from 7-10 p.m. and will feature five different food and drink pairings from around the world – desserts included. Music will be provided by Taylor Jo & the Copper Creek Band. Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to attend FlavorFest or to enter the casino.
