Barbara and Denny Magruder, then and now

Denny and Barbara Magruder of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

They were united in marriage on Dec. 9, 1967, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wheeling with the late Rev. Antonine Vukmanovich officiating.

Barbara Magruder is the daughter of the late Harry and Janet Voitle of Wheeling. She is a 1965 graduate of Wheeling High School and is retired from WesBanco Arena.

Denny Magruder is the son of the late Earl and Sarah Magruder of Wheeling. He is a 1966 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a graduate of West Liberty State College. He is employed as executive director at WesBanco Arena and the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling.

They have three children. The family includes Teresa and her husband, Melvin Kahle III; Jennifer and her husband, Brian Robinson; and Robbie and his wife, Tami, all of Wheeling. Nine grandchildren complete the family.

A celebration with family and friends took place on Saturday.
