Despite low voter turnout throughout the Northern Panhandle, voters selected several people for office by tight margins, and replaced board of education presidents in two counties.
Marshall County had the highest voter turnout in the panhandle at 24.13 percent.
Ohio County saw an overall voter turnout of 22.78 percent. There were a total of 6,635 ballots cast in the county of among 29,129 registered voters.
Voter turnout was 13.95 percent in Brooke County, with 2,963 total ballots cast.
Hancock County did experience a slight problem with one voting machine that appeared to be resolved shortly after midnight. Only 69 votes were cast on that machine.
In both Wetzel and Tyler counties, approximately 21 percent of registered voters participated.
