To help area children celebrate the arrival of spring, the Junior League of Wheeling teamed up with the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling's Just for Kids program to hold "Swing into Spring" Wednesday, March 26.
"Swing into Spring" was a free event for local children who participate in the Just for Kids program. The event included a fun-filled afternoon of food, entertainment and special goodie bags that were distributed to the children.
One of the many community service projects in which the Junior League of Wheeling is involved, the event was designed to provide Just for Kids families a special time including a spring barbecue meal, an ice cream bar and a visit from Jingles the Clown and the Tooth Fairy, who explained the importance of good dental hygiene to the children.
