The Thursday Music Club chorus will present its spring concert for fellow club members at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1409 Chapline St., Wheeling, at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3.
The theme for is the concert is "Glitz & Glam." The chorus has been working diligently on this program since January. There are 32 members in the chorus, plus director Anita Chops and accompanist Debbie Breiding.
This year's program features many familiar tunes including "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," "It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing" and a Disney Celebration for Women's Voices piece titled "Happily Ever After." Many soloists will sing throughout the program. Buddy Filben will be the guest drummer.

At the club meeting, members Arlene Lawson and Susan Cain will welcome members and guests at the door. President Betty Davis will conduct a business meeting before the performance.
The nominating committee, composed of Lois Neitzelt, Kathryn Wallington and Martha Haigwood, has a slate of officers for the 2014-15 year. They will be announced and then Davis will take nominations from the floor. If there are no new nominations, the club members will vote by a show of hands on the announced slate.
After the performance, a luncheon, catered by member Judi Porterfield, will be served. There is a fee and reservations are required. It will be the last scheduled meeting until a membership coffee in September. Since it is an election year for the club, an inaugural luncheon will be held in May at Belmont Hill Country Club, St. Clairsville, to install officers.
