Wanted: Suggestions for new stores for the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville.
Joe Bell, spokesman for the Cafaro Co., which owns the mall, said Cafaro's real estate executives are always seeking stores that are the "right fit" for the mall. But the company also listens to ideas from the public regarding retailers they would like to see there, he said.
"Honestly, we're open to suggestions if people want to see a particular brand or store," Bell said.

At least one of those suggestions was heard loud and clear, as Bell announced Wednesday that a Yankee Candle store, as well as two retailers that cater to youth, are slated to open at the mall this spring.
Yankee Candle is slated to open in June in a 1,200-square-foot space near Center Court. Justice, which sells clothing for young girls, is scheduled to open in a 4,200-square-foot space in mid-April also near Center Court.
And rue21 will open a 5,800-square-foot store near the Boscov/Sears Concourse in May.
"Yankee Candle is very popular - people love to have them," Bell said. "Around the holidays, people wished we had a Yankee Candle store."
With the recent opening of Boscov's department store, other stores have recently moved to new, upgraded spaces including Victoria's Secret, Raven Rock Workwear, Kitchen Collection, Shoe Dept. Encore and Payless ShoeSource.
Macy's also recently completed its renovation project.
