WHEELING - When four veteran Jamboree USA performs reunited this year to form The Honky Tonk Sweethearts band, they quickly realized their music could be used to help others.
The country group will be combining their talents at the "Home for Christmas" concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Capitol Theatre ballroom where the group will be accepting unwrapped toys or monetary donations to give to "Project Christmas Smiles" organized by Darrell Cummings, pastor at Bethlehem Apostolic Church.
The toys will be given to families in North Wheeling who cannot afford Christmas presents for their children this year.

The show will feature group members Joylene Riggle of Glen Dale, Laurie Labishak of Martins Ferry, Lois Scott of White Oak, Pa. and Nikki Fleming of Columbus, Ohio, who will sing various country songs that are sure to please all ages.
The show will also feature special guests The Chrisagis Brothers and Stevie Lynn Boles of Glen Dale.
Light refreshments will be available.
For each toy donated, guests will be entered to win two tickets to the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game Dec. 29. at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
The sining group will also donate a portion of the concert proceeds to help the Christmas Smiles program.
Riggle said the four group members used to sing together for Jamboree at the Victoria Theater and united again in April when they met again at a benefit at the Strand Theatre. Since then, the group has been performing in various locations in the area. "Home for Christmas" will be their first local charity concert.
"We're enjoying singing together and helping others," Riggle said. "We're trying to make it a good Christmas for the kids."
"It's been a great privilege and honor to work with these three talented ladies over the past several months," Fleming said. "In a short time we have become like sisters. We've been planning a fabulous show and I am very excited to welcome our audience."
