By CASEY JUNKINS - Staff Writer , The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register

TRIADELPHIA - With more than 600 new and used vehicles available every day on the company's 10-acre campus, Robinson Auto Group at The Highlands has one of the area's most successful dealerships. The group offers "nine brands, your choice, one place."

Therefore, it was no surprise when West Virginia readers of The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register declared the Bob Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac and Jim Robinson Ford Lincoln and Jim Robinson Toyota Scion the Ohio Valley's best auto dealerships for both new and used vehicles.

The group also took home the award for best auto repair, as well as the award for best tire dealer.

Receiving four Readers’ Choice awards from the West Virginia readers of The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register are members of Robinson Auto Group: Bob Robinson, president of Robinson Auto Group; Jim Robinson, dealer/operator for Jim Robinson Ford Lincoln and Jim Robinson Toyota Scion; and Roberta Robinson Olejasz, dealer/operator for Bob Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac.

"We have very dedicated employees, many who have been with us on a long-term basis," said Bob Robinson, president of Robinson Auto Group. "The automotive business is predicated on who you surround yourself with. We are blessed with many great employees.

"Our investment in new facilities for our customers has had a terrific effect. We really work hard in trying to satisfy our customers - and our business continues to grow," Robinson added.

Robinson also said the company has reinvested in its body shop, located in Center Wheeling, spending time and money to make sure the equipment - and the employees using the equipment - are the best.

"We have customers from Ohio, from Washington, Pa., from New Martinsville, from all over," he said. "We have cultivated a lot of this business over the years. Customers tell us all the time how much they appreciate how our employees take care of them."

Roberta Robinson Olejasz, Bob Robinson's daughter, is the dealer/operator for Bob Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac. Jim Robinson, Bob Robinson's son, is the dealer/operator for Jim Robinson Ford Lincoln and Jim Robinson Toyota Scion.

"The longevity of our 134 employees is important," Bob Robinson said. "We have a very high retention rate. These awards really belong to those employees because without them, none of this happens for us."

The Robinson site is located on the south side of Interstate 70 at The Highlands, the side opposite Cabela's, Wal-Mart, Target, J.C. Penney, Kohl's and the numerous other retail, dining and entertainment venues at the hilltop development.

"We love our location at The Highlands," Bob Robinson said, while complementing the Ohio County Development Authority for its commitment to building the retail center.
