The fifth season of Broadway at the Capitol opens this year with two very well-known names: Sally Struthers in "Hello, Dolly!" set for Oct. 23 and Johnny Mathis in a special evening on March 6.

Season tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at WesBanco Arena box office.

"We are very excited that this season is the first with the brand new seats at The Capitol," Daniel Hampel, promoter of the series, said.

"We are very happy about this year ... We are very excited to be bringing the fifth edition (of the series) to the market. The market continues to grow, and it gets better and better each year thanks to the support of the subscribers.

"Our goal is to make it bigger and better every year," Hampel said.

The season opens with a classic, "Hello, Dolly!" starring Sally Struthers. The show is the winner of 10 Tony Awards, and will be presented Oct. 23.

Next is "Cirque Dreams Holidaze," to be presented on "Black Friday," Nov. 29. Now in its fifth year of touring, "Cirque Dreams Holidaze," is "stuffed with so much holiday cheer and audacious acts, Scrooge would exit with a big ol' smile in his face," says the Erie Times News.

The Best Musical of 2010, "Memphis" takes to the stage on Feb. 5.

With explosive dancing, irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love, "Memphis" is inspired by the story of a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer who is ready for her big break.

"An Evening With Johnny Mathis - A Night to Remember" is set for March 6.

His greatest hits album is one of the most popular albums of all time and spent an unprecedented 490 continuous weeks on the Billboard Top Albums Chart.

"We have developed a cool relationship with Mathis, and worked hard on bringing him to Wheeling. I saw the show in Cincinnati. It was very cool," Hampel said.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the last show of the 2013-14 season, the "Women of Ireland," set for March 16, St. Patrick's Day eve.

"Women of Ireland" is an innovative and exciting full-stage concert production of music, song and dance.

"I think this show will blow people away," Hampel said.

"This season is a little bit different," Hampel said. "We have two traditional shows ... but, it's a complete package with singing and dancing."

Season ticket-holders have the option of purchasing four shows or the complete season, which includes the evening with Mathis.
