Sebelius Solicitations Should Be Probed

Does President Barack Obama's administration know no bounds regarding unethical behavior? Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is evidence it does not.

During a week including revelations the Justice Department seized Associated Press telephone records, the Internal Revenue Service harassed conservative groups, the State Department lied about the Benghazi terrorist attack, news about Sebelius came as no real surprise.

It has been reported the secretary, unable to obtain money from Congress to promote the new health care law - "Obamacare" - is soliciting donations for the purpose from health care companies. Sebelius is after millions of dollars.

Clearly, seeking donations from an industry her department regulates is unethical. It may well be illegal. Congress should add Sebelius to the long list of investigations it ought to be planning.
