DeFELICE, Tony John Sr., 88, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away Friday May 3, 2013 in Shadyside Care Center Shadyside, Ohio.
Tony was born September 30, 1924 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Secondino and Domenica Biasini DeFelice.
He was retired from Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, OH, was Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of DeFelice Brothers Pizza Inc.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Shadyside, OH, Knights of Columbus Lodge #5174 Shadyside, Sons of Italy Lodge #754 Bellaire, I.A.C. Bellaire, American Legion Post #52 Shadyside, United Steel Workers Local #5724.
Tony was Corporal, Battery C 125th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion U.S. Army during WWII.
Tony and his wife Ada were instrumental in assisting their sons in opening the DeFelice Brothers Pizza Inc.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Ada Wayt DeFelice; a son, Tony John "T.J" DeFelice and a brother, Rinaldo DeFelice.
Surviving is a son, Dominic B. (Amy) DeFelice of Shadyside, OH; a daughter, Jennie Lynn (Richard) Marzella of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Tony James DeFelice, Angela DeFelice, Daniel Marzella, Ali Marzella and Dante' DeFelice; three great-grandchildren, Gianna, Isabella and Dario DeFelice; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire. OH, with Fr. Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.
Entombment follows in the Guardian Angel Mausoleum of Mt Calvary Cemetery Bellaire, Ohio. Sons of Italy service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
