The event is open to the public and is a celebration of the school's recent Capital Campaign - an open house and a thank-you to the community for its support. But most of all, it's a day chock-full of fun activities for children.

Discovery Day stations, ongoing between noon and 3 p.m., include the following: DNA bracelets, Jackson Pollock-inspired act art, plant-a-bean necklaces, tie dye, spelling creativity, origami, fruit sundaes and healthy snacks, healthy snack recipes, community thumbprint tree, "Touch a Truck" with the Wheeling Police and Fire Departments, Imagination Playground, face painting and more.
