The eighth annual Marshall County Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Home and Business Expo is under way.
The event opened at 4 p.m. Friday at the Training Center within the walls of the former West Virginia Penitentiary.
Admission is free, and the expo continues from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.
About 80 businesses are taking part, providing visitors with new ideas about home remodeling, landscaping, financial services and more.
Civic organizations and other agencies that provide services to county residents also are represented.
The Easter Bunny is expected to make an appearance today.
In addition to the displays in the main area of the Training Center, numerous crafters from throughout the Ohio Valley are showing and selling items in the 4,200-square-foot Technology Room.
Bob's Lunch is the expo's food provider.
Visitors should enter the expo through the North Wagon Gate of the prison on Eighth Street. Shuttle service will be provided by the Marshall County Senior Center for those parking on Eighth Street and Jefferson Avenue.
Those wishing to take advantage of the shuttle service will be driven to the front door of the Training Center and later driven back to their parking area.
