David Moore planned to sell the $1,200 worth of ammunition he allegedly shoplifted from Cabela's at The Highlands on Wednesday before he was arrested by the Ohio County Sheriff's Department.
Ohio County Magistrate Harry Radcliffe arraigned Moore Wednesday on a charge of grand larceny. The 30-year-old Cambridge resident had yet to post $15,000 bond late Thursday and remained in the Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville.
According to court documents, stuffed into his Moore's pants were numerous boxes of ammunition he shoplifted from the store.
A deputy also searched Moore's car and discovered a list of types of ammunition and correlating prices. Two women who were in Moore's car said Moore references the list when reselling ammunition.
A preliminary hearing in front of Magistrate Patty Murphy had not yet been scheduled Thursday. Ohio County Assistant Public Defender Jacob Polverini has been appointed to represent Moore.
