MINZLER, Donald R., Sr., 63, of Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
He was born August 17, 1949 in Wheeling.
Donald was a retired employee of Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Minzler, Sr.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 14 years, Brenda S. Hicks Minzler; his mother, Helen Leithe Minzler of Wheeling; two sons, Donald R. (Marie) Minzler, Jr. of Wheeling and Jason (Cassandra) Minzler of South Carolina; two brothers, Harold (Mary) Minzler and Chris (Patti) Minzler, both of Wheeling; a sister, Nancy (Charles) Yocke of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Derek, Skylar, Emma, Audry and Lilah Minzler; several nieces and nephews; his beloved in-laws; many friends; and his faithful canine, Minzy.
Friends will be received from noon until time of service at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, with Pastor Joel Richter officiating.
