Coach Mike Blackburn's Steubenville High School wrestling team was one of the top forces in the OVAC last season.
One of the reasons for that was the performance of Greg Moray.
Moray, a senior, is being counted on by Blackburn to produce and be a leader.
"Greg is a four-year starter and we expect him to win and produce for the team," he said. "He has been a part of this foundation that is bringing the Big Red program back on the map.
"He is a very important part of this team."
Moray is a returning OVAC champion, a three-time OVAC placer and finished fourth in Division II at the Ohio state tournament last season.
"Greg decided to really focus on his wrestling career a few years back,'' Blackburn said.
Currently, Moray is ranked second in the Buckeye State.
"Last year showed him where he is at and what he needs to improve on,'' Blackburn said. "He had a great year and we expect him to be a force at 220 pounds this year.
"He and I are looking for the same thing: to be the OVAC champion again and in the state final competing for a state championship.
"Greg has a ton of ability and is one of the strongest kids I've seen. If Greg wrestles for a full six minutes and is in good shape to open it up the whole match it would be hard for anyone to stay with him."
