60th Anniversary Marked

Nick and June Banda of Weirton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 28.

They were united in marriage Sept. 28, 1952 at Holy Resurrection Eastern Orthodox Church, Steubenville, by the Rev. Paul Zelich.

June Banda is the daughter of the late Clarence and Retta Durbin of Steubenville. She is a homemaker.

Banda is the son of the late Milan and Mildred Banda of Weirton. He is retired from the former Weirton Steel Corp. after 43 years of service.

They have three children. The family includes Mark and his wife, Jennifer, of Canonsburg, Pa.; Nikki DeLong and her husband, Steve, of New Cumberland and Michele Ramsey and her husband, Bryan, of Wheeling. They have seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A family dinner was held in their honor Sunday, Sept. 23, with their children and their families.
