Robert and Augusta Maine Schmidt of New Martinsville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, Sept. 27.
They were united in marriage Sept. 27, 1947 at First Christian Church by the Rev. W.H. Sliter.
Gussie Schmidt is retired from Wetzel County Hospital.
Schmidt is retired from PPG Industries.
They have a daughter and a son. The family includes Joanie Schmidt Mills and her husband, Bob, of St. Louis, Mo., and Eric Schmidt of Fredericksburg, Va. They have three grandchildren.
