SARAHSVILLE - It's been a tough start to the season for Shenandoah and new coach Kaleb Lawrence.

Things are not about to get any easier.

Undefeated Shadyside comes into town this week and this looks like a giant mismatch on paper.

Shenandoah lost to rival Meadowbrook 49-6 last week in the battle to claim the Joe Kasper Miner's Lunch Pail Memorial Award.

The Zeps have been outscored 134-20 through three games.

On the other sideline will be a Shadyside team that looks like it might steamroll its way through the regular season.

Coach Mark Holenka's Tigers have outscored their opponents 124-20 through the first three games.

In last week's 54-13 thumping of Toronto, quarterback Chase Kinemond threw just three times, connecting on all three for 76 yards and two touchdowns.

He also rushed for a score.

Brooks Ramsey did most of the damage against the Red Knights with 101 yards rushing.

Austin Dorris caught a 31-yard touchdown pass and also scooped up a fumble and took it to the end zone.

Still, despite what looks like it could be a long day for Lawrence and his Zeps, don't look for Holenka and his staff to overlook Shenandoah, even though a matchup with Linsly is on tap for next week at Fleming Field.

Eli Hurst is a four-year starter for Shenandoah and 13 seniors that have plenty of game experience will await the Tigers.

Danny Neuhart is the tailback for the Zeps and scored the lone touchdown last week against the Colts.

In last season's game in Shadyside, the Tigers made quick work of Shenandoah with a 47-6 victory in Week 4, the 500th victory in school history.

Kinemond ran for 90 yards and three scores, while Ramsey led the way with 122 yards.

That victory sparked a run for Shadyside that saw it win six of its last seven regular season games and two playoff games before being ousted by Western Reserve.
