65th Anniversary Marked

Mary and Jim Nicholson of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Wheeling, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, July 26.

They were united in marriage July 26, 1947 at the former Thomson United Methodist Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Harry F. King presiding.

Mary Nicholson, the former Mary Neuman, retired from AT&T Co. to later pursue a career in home child care.

Nicholson is retired from Wheeling Machine Products.

In 2004, the couple left Wheeling to join family members in Kansas City, Mo.

They have two daughters. The family includes Nancy and her husband, Rob Robinson, and Mary Beth and her husband, Gary Prager. The Nicholsons have two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

The children hosted a celebratory dinner to honor the Nicholsons. Congratulatory notes can be sent to 7916 N. Hope Ave., Kansas City, MO 64151.
