NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma defense that didn't get the job done a season ago is going through some changes.
Exactly what new coordinator Mike Stoops has in store won't be known until Saturday night, when No. 4 Oklahoma plays its season opener at UTEP. At the least, Stoops is shuffling some players around.
Tony Jefferson moved from nickelback to free safety, and Aaron Colvin returned to his original cornerback position after playing strong safety last season. Javon Harris is shifting from free safety to strong safety and ex-cornerback Gabe Lynn is the new nickelback.
The only one in the secondary who's staying put is cornerback Demontre Hurst.
