I am writing this letter to inform everyone about a rally that is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. It's called Stop the Frack Attack. The rally is being set up with the goal of putting our communities, our families, our health, our environment, our properties, and our futures first ahead of oil and gas profits. Other goals of the rally include ending special exemptions and government subsidies for the oil and gas industry and supporting communities on the frontlines of oil and gas development.
Information on Stop the Frack Attack can be found at www.stopthefrackattack.org. Buses are available for the rally and information on the buses can be found on the website. Also, www.megabus.com has bus runs running from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C. Now is the time for all of us to get involved, step up, and speak out. Please work to keep our communities, our families, our health, our environment, our properties, and our futures first.
Lastly, on a side note, many local folks are anxiously awaiting official news from the WVDEP, Chesapeake, or the Wheeling Parks Commission on Chesapeake's permit application for the well pad near Wheeling Park High School, and there is a Facebook page up- www.facebook.com/stopfrackingwheelingparkhighschool.
Thank you all for keeping our communities, our families, our health, our environment, our properties, and our futures first ahead of money. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
