BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. - A man is facing multiple charges after Hanover Township police said he bit off part of a girl's finger during a concert at First Niagara Pavilion earlier this month.
Zackary Nicholas Leone, 22, of Aliquippa, Pa., is accused of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the incident which took place during a performance by the country group Lady Antebellum on June 2.
According to published reports, a 17-year-old girl was attempting to break up a fight between Leone and another man when the tip of her right ring finger was bitten off. The criminal complaint filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge Gary Havelka states Leone also knocked the girl to the ground and struck her "repeatedly."
The girl was treated at Weirton Medical Center. Leone reportedly turned himself in to police on Monday and maintains he did not cause the injury.
