NEW MANCHESTER -Oak Glen eliminated Weir and set up a rematch against Magnolia by sweeping the Red Riders and claiming a sectional title for the second straight season.
Oak Glen led Weir, 10-5, heading into the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday night when the games was postponed due to rain. The team's finished Thursday before playing the second one.
Bub Haddox delivered two singles and a triple to go along with three RBI to lead the way offensively in the first game. In the night cap, Haddox struck out five, walked two and allowed two runs on two hits in picking up a victory.
Haddox also dazzled at the plate, where he finished the game with two home runs - a grand slam and a two-run shot - a double and seven RBI.
Steven Barr, the winning pitcher in Game 1, recorded two singles and two RBI, Matt McLaughlin tallied two singles and an RBI and catcher Kole Koper contributed two singles.
