BELLAIRE - Gina Beekman threw a one-hitter, striking out nine and walking one as St. John topped Bridgeport at Amanda's Field.
Beekman aided her own cause at the plate with four singles and an RBI. Hannah Absolom homered, doubled and drove in two runs for the Irish, while Sydney Helms (double) and Amber Lamotte (single) both drove in a run.
