POWHATAN - Cody Gillespie was the winning pitcher and helped himself with a bases-loaded clearing triple in the fifth to lead St. John past Jefferson County Christian.
Gillespie also added a single and a double and finished with six RBI. Travis Ogden and Jonathan Bossell each had three RBI for the Fighting Irish (6-11), while Kevin Johnson hit two singles and an RBI.
