Virginia Parker

PARKER, Virginia (Frey), 96, of Moundsville, W.Va., died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Mound View Nursing Home.

She was born March 29, 1915, in Moundsville, W.Va., a daughter to the late Edward C. and America (Maupin) Frey. She was Methodist by faith. She retired from Ogden Newspapers and worked part time, up to her late 80's, for the Moundsville Echo. She was a member of the Moundsville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Aerie 499 and the Moundsville VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 437.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles E. (Loretta) Frey, William R. (Bertha) Frey, and Lawrence "Red" (Alice) Frey, and a special friend, Harry Williams.

She is survived by two sons, Tom (Dorothy) Parker of Moundsville, and Ronald Eugene Parker of Denver, Colo.; two grandsons, Ed Parker of Moundsville, and Doug (Debbie) Parker of Warwood, W.Va.; one great-grandson, Tanner Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
