Kucas Celebrate Golden

Frank and Gennie Kuca of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anninversary Friday, Feb. 24.

They were united in marriage Feb. 24, 1962 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling, by the Rev. Francis X. Kane.

Gennie Kuca is the daughter of the late David and Jessie Saunders of Wheeling. She is retired from the former Fed One Bank.

Kuca is the son of the late Frank and Anna Kuca of Wheeling. He served four years in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He is retired from the Wheeling Police Department with 23 years of service and was the police chief of Clearview for five years. He also worked 14 years for the U.S. Marshals Service as a court security officer.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Frank and his wife, Patti, of Wheeling; Cheryl Snyder and her husband, John, of Scott Depot and Diane Criswell and her husband, Robb, of Huntington. They have seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

They celebrated the weekend with their family at an Oglebay cottage, a gift from their children. A party was held in their honor Saturday, Feb. 25, for the extended family.

They are being honored with a special blessing of their marriage by Msgr. Gene Ostrowski at Corpus Christi Catholic Church today, Feb. 26.
