Robert J. and Patricia Oglinsky of Wheeling announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Katherine Oglinsky, to Donald P. Cookman, son of Judge Donald H. and Paula S. Cookman of Romney.
Oglinsky is a graduate of George Mason University and has held various positions in state and federal government. She is the director of the Ohio County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition in Wheeling.
Cookman graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College and the West Virginia University College of Law. He is employed by Chandler and Associates of New Martinsville, where he specializes in the oil and gas industry.
A Jan. 7 wedding is planned in Wheeling.
