President Obama is blaming everyone but himself for the downgrade caused by his growing deficit spending. Standard & Poors said, "Our lowering of the rating was prompted by our view on the rising public debt burden and our perception of greater policymaking uncertainty."
Somehow Obama thinks that means the tea party did it.
Is the tea party to blame? Let's review. The American people (also known as the tea party movement) assembled in Washington by the millions calling for fewer taxes, less spending, less government, and opposing the trillion-dollar Obamacare disaster. President Obama called these time-honored economic principles and the tea party "extreme."
The tea party did it? Really? According to the Congressional Budget Office, this administration spent $7 trillion in 2009 and 2010 without one tea party vote.
Our former congressmen, Charlie Wilson, Alan Mollohan and Zack Space, supported Obama and voted for every dime of this spending spree.
The new freshman Congressional class went to Washington to stop this outrageous spending and was not in on the debt creation. With all due respect, Mr. President, "The tea party did it" just rings hollow considering who created this deficit and caused this historic credit rating downgrade. You, Mr. President, and your disastrous fiscal policies ran up the public debt burden. Man up, Mr. President, and admit your inexperience in policymaking is showing.
