Christopher and Mary Kreitzer of Wheeling announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Marie Kreitzer, to Jake Stuart Nelson, son of David and Ann Nelson of Wheeling.
Kreitzer is a 2001 graduate of Wheeling Park High School, a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and women's studies and a 2011 graduate of West Virginia University with a Master of Arts degree in secondary education and English. She will be employed by Ohio County Schools as an English, speech and theater teacher.
Nelson is a 2007 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2011 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering. He is employed by Mepco in Morgantown.
An Aug. 13 wedding is planned.
