Shannon Renee Summers and Jonathan Edward Farley were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 23, in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the New River Gorge at Class VI in Fayetteville. The Rev. Colleen Griffith officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Tracy Summers of Sistersville.
The groom is the son of Norman and Jennifer Farley of Hinton.
Attendants were Amanda Lyons; Alicia Kinsey; Jessica Walton; Taylor Isaac; Allie Farley; Benji Farley, brother of the groom; Neil Farley, brother of the groom; Ryan Summers, brother of the bride; Brandan Isaac; Samantha Moore; Stephanie Moore; Melody Posey and Bethany Isaac, sister of the groom.
A reception was held at Smokey's on the Gorge.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Tyler Consolidated High School, a 2008 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a 2010 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is employed as a physical therapist at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Summers County High School and a 2007 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He is working on a master's degree in special education at Marshall University. He is employed as a special education teacher at Arthur I. Boreman Elementary School, Middlebourne.
The couple took a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
