Tara Maria Gorrell and Michael Gerard Dean were united in marriage Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Praise Cathedral, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Christopher Turner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Martinsville, officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark Gorrell of Ripley and Abby Gorrell of Parkersburg.
The groom is the son of James and Karen Dean of New Martinsville.
Ashley Wolfe was maid of honor. James Dean and Christopher Dean, brothers of the groom, served as best men.
Other attendants were Kelsey Gorrell, Elizabeth Kanosky, Evan Pratt, Jennifer Shearer, Lashawn Lewis, Derek Kocher, Patrick Hill, Ryan Thorn and T.C. Fauber.
A reception was held at McCoy Inn and Conference Center, Ripley.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Ravenswood High School, a 2007 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and finance and a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is employed by the Navy.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Magnolia High School, a 2007 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a Master of Science degree in accounting. He is employed by Enterprise Holdings.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
