WHEELING - A shooting early Sunday on Wheeling Island left one man injured, Wheeling police report.
Julius Thompson, no age or address provided, was shot in the hip during the incident, according to a police report.
Police said Sunday night he remained in stable condition at Wheeling Hospital.
At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to an unspecified North Front Street address on a report of a malicious wounding.
The report said Thompson was shot in the left hip by an unknown male who then left the area.
No additional information on the incident or any suspect was available late Sunday.
