DUVALL, Adda Catherine “Betty” McDonald, 85, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling.
She was born September 19, 1922, in West Alexander, Pa., the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Adda Virginia Sims McDonald.
Mrs. Duvall was the retired owner of Duvall Television and Appliance in Wheeling. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Wheeling; and belonged to the Miriam Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry N. Duvall, in 2007; three sisters, Alma Allen, Eleanor Allen and Pauline Emmerth.
Surviving are her son, Alan N. Duvall and his wife, Brenda, of Wheeling; three grandchildren, Scot A. Duvall and his wife, Juli, of Louisville, Ky., Diana L. Duvall of Alexandria, Va., and Brandy J. Burke and her husband, Patrick, of Cleveland, Ohio; six great-grandchil dren, Ava, Kora and Philip Duvall, and Brendan, Ryan and Ethan Burke; a niece, Joan Kelvington and her husband, Lee, of Wheeling, and their son, Rick Kelvington of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Friends received on Sunday, July 6, 2008, from noon-3 and 6-8 p.m., at the Kepner Funeral Home, National Road at Bethany Pike, Wheeling, where services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008, at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Dr. Roger L. Smith officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
