Here they go again. Listen up boys! Before you waste another $3 million. A second interchange is not needed at the Highlands. Read “The Highlands Interchange: Pig, Not A TIGER” & “Stewart’s Folly: The Highlands Interchange”. Google the Highlands Gazette. And you boys are forgetting something. I don’t mean to draw you a road map. But. Even if you get the money from the Development Office. Even if you work out the “arrangement” with the DOH to build a second interchange at The Highlands. You still need approval from the DEP and the Environmental Quality Board, the Kanawha County Circuit Court and the WV Supreme Court, the Federal Highway Administration and the Corps of Engineers, and the US District Court in Wheeling and the US Court of Appeals in Richmond. Funny, isn’t it? How all roads lead back to Richmond.

UNSAFE COMMISSION!

You cannot arbitrarily make changes to a limited access interstate highway! This development was poorly planned, under-designed and has lacked the necessary scrutiny to avoid ongoing failure.

From inception the commissioners were way over their heads in every aspect of planning, contracting, bidding, building, negotiating leases, and most importantly financing The Highlands, and they continue wth absolutely ludicrous statements to divert the taxpayers attention from the corrupt disaster that they created.

I have a much less expensive and just as effective plan....all you need is signage. First sign west bound a mile from the Dallas Pike exit stating access to the Highlands via Ft. Henry Road, then appropriate guidance signs. The road is already there and the exit is accessible. It could be Highlands exit 1 and the established exit could be Highlands exit 2. Simple, and already in place.

Exit ramps should be illegal in WV! Stopping there is hazardous to your health and your wallet!!!!

Only ON ramps so you can leave!
