Here's something to discuss over your egs and bacon in the morning:

"(CNSNews****) - The top 40 percent of households by before-tax income actually paid 106.2 percent of the nation’s net income taxes in 2010, according to a new study by the Congressional Budget Office. At the same time, households in the bottom 40 percent took in an average of $18,950 in what the CBO called “government transfers” in 2010. Taxpayers in the top 40 percent of households were able to pay more than 100 percent of net federal income taxes in 2010 because Americans in the bottom 40 percent actually paid negative income taxes, according to the CBO study entitled, “The Distribution of Household Income and Federal Taxes, 2010.” - See more at: *******cnsnews****/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/cbotop-40-paid-1062-income-taxes-bottom-40-paid-91-got-average-18950#sthash.FeyaOukn.dpuf

As a charter member of NEEA (National Egg Eaters Association) they will stop me from eating eggs when they pry my last fat hen from its roost in the coop.

When vegans convince politicians that because our children are eating eggs they are at greater risk of dying, the outcry will be heard that eggs kill people, laws be passed to register your hens and tax eggs to the point that no one will be able to buy them.

Maybe even homeland security buy up all the eggs in case they are needed in the event of a national emergency, just to get them out of the stores.

A hard boiled egg will spin. An uncooked or soft-boiled egg will not. An egg that is fresh will sink in water, but a stale one won't.

The white part of an egg is called the albumen.

Washing a chicken egg will strip it of natural coatings that keep out bacteria; it will rot very quickly thereafter.

There is no difference between brown eggs and white eggs, save the color.

Chickens with red feathers and red earlobes lay brown eggs, those with white feathers and earlobes lay white eggs.

Brown eggs, laid by Rhode Island Reds, are most popular in the Northeast.

The average hen lays 300 eggs/yr.

what's the problem?eggs are good for you.now if they want to replace McDonald's fake burger with some real stuff that would be great.fake food just isn't any good unless you soak it down with some kind of sauce.mix these fake eggs with some real bacon and real cheese and it may be edible.i like the brown eggs myself.

Egg substitutes are available on the market now, enjoy! I'm sure the "real" idea is to have the goberment make eating eggs illegal!

In 2011 (latest available year) 92 billion eggs were consumed in the US, about 300 per citizen!

Nice to see Bill Gates funding the egg substitute research! If the vehicle industry would have had the same business model.....

fabricated food is not good for consumption, even if the FDA says it's safe. Farm fresh eggs are healthy and so is grass feeding of beef. Now that fast food crap like Mc Ds is not really food it is just filler that will clog your arteries.
