No one who can formulate a coherent thought in their head takes Ayn Rand seriously. She is the darling of pseudo-intellectuals, nothing more.

Minivan "Do Do, your(sic) the one who parrots Hitler's p0litics(sic), so what are you reading?"

Your idiotic prose defines you as just another dullard in the Ohio Valley of the d*mned muddling around in your Bashir world.

Reality, that's hogwash. You can call "bs"" all you want. I am what I am. I haven't read her, and have no intention of doing so, b/c to me, she, like you, is irrelevant. My point was that this writing is garbage, like your comments.

Oldman - If you meant John Galt why did you ask "Who is JOHN GAULT?"

How dense are you. John Gault is a real person, John Galt is a character in a novel.

Your irrelevant question was answered.

Keep asking, that's the only way that you will learn.

Does this sound like a commie? "I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." Like I said, we understand that caltransplant (BS on the Christian profession, btw - I call BS on that) and Gooseybutt have never actually READ her books - but it is hilarious when these authoritarian liberals go frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of her name.

Fauxview, the point is I read Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged and other of her writings and you had to go to the internet. Your the one who commented on what I've read and I proved what you didn't read.

Oldman - What are you talking about?

You asked "...Who is John Gault? Lets see how long it takes you to figure that out."

It was apparent from your post that you did not know the difference so I had hopes of enlightening you.

To make it even understandable to you, Ayn Rand's character is JOHN GALT not John Gault.

I found your John GAULT (obviously not associated with the discussion, at Wiki.

The description that I provided for John Galt is my interpretation of Ayn Rand's character not a wiki definition.

Your posts have been entertaining, but I have better things to do right now that to read your ramblings.

Why don't you, Rocky, Choking, and Hoopie continue your expose', comparing your bias and what the world thinks about it. You can even believe that you won, what ever it is that you are playing to win.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Oldman -

1. In order to honestly criticize a writer it would be necessary to actually read at least some of their writings, otherwise who would care less about your opinion on the subject.

2. From Wikipedia- John Gault was an American entrepreneur and inventor who created the encased postage stamp. Gault used these encased postage stamps as a means to solve a coin shortage during the Civil War as well as ultimately profit from their sale. He was also a major in the 28th Kentucky volunteer infantry.

From "Atlas Shrugged" John Galt was the fictional character that invented a perpetual energy motor which he refused to develop to 'give' to the "takers" of the world.

As a protest John quit his job and 'disappeared' to a secret canyon hideaway where he built the motor to power a separate community which did not adhere to the rules of socialism.

hoopie - I do believe in one supreme being (God) and try to follow Christian teaching of the Bible.

Just wondering, what is Pope Francis' guidance concerning abortion, same-sex marriage, etc.?

Maybe if you listen more to Pope Francis, leader of the largest Christian faith rather than an atheist for you religious direction you would come to a different conclusion. You can have your atheist worship, I'll follow the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis.

....cause unless the creators are heaven-blessed like Rand concludes.....corporations, CEOs, and shareholders seem to reap the real profits.

I guess that explains the inability of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates to profit from their intellectual property...

...at the expense of their CEOs, shareholders, et.al.

Taking your post one sentence at a time.

1. As I asked before, what works of Ayn Rand have you read?

2. What does FOX New have to do with Ayn Rand?

3. I watch CBS News every evening. Guess that makes you wrong again. Sorry.

4. If being uninformed a symptom of watching Faux Nooz, this post would indicate that you watch it 24/7.

Rocky - Putting aside your attempt to sidetrack the discussion with personal jabs, I will not debate your rights to any interpretation of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" that you comprehend.

I do suggest that you may want to re-read the book and consider how the various 'creative individual entreprenuers' characters responded to continued attempts to have their work product forcibly distributed to the "takers".

CommunistReputation, swing at THIS, loser.

Obamascam's redistribution game depends on signing up lots of YOUNG PEOPLE and OVERCHARGING them to pay for the high cost of the pre-existing conditions crowd.

But the young are just taking their wallets with them and walking AWAY from Obamacare rather than PAY outrageous costs.

Leaving Obamacare to find another host to play parasite on.

When all of the hosts LEAVE or DIE OFF, the PARASITE DIES.

I realize that "intellectual debate" is way over your Jerry Springer pay grade, but try to comprendo, corn dog bandito.

nutter's 'personal and intellectual property from government redistribution to "takers", by relocating to business tax-friendly locals.'

strikes a chord...wraiffer's 'burgeoning welfare class' not so much in that it is an extremist one-sided diatribe, a strike OUT in intellectual debate as per usual.

so nutter...please validate for me Rand's creators....are they creative individual entreprenuers that directly reap the rewards of their wonderful creations or are they but pawns in the capitalist society?

...meaning that...once they design a product, and do all the R&D to finalize it

...do they reap lavishly or for a salary like those lesser beings who will orchestrate its production and produce it?

....cause unless the creators are heaven-blessed like Rand concludes.....corporations, CEOs, and shareholders seem to reap the real profits.
