West Virginia is in a battle for its lif....

One thing stands out here that could upset the EPA's, and OPEC's, apple carts, i.e.: "the EPA's effort to regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant". Carbon Dioxide, although your "free" press hasn't found within itself the gumption to tell you, can and should be treated as a valuable raw material resource: Right now, in the nation of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia has established a pilot plant that is converting CO2 into some components of liquid petroleum. In Germany, the car maker Audi has a pilot plant up and running that is converting CO2 into substitute natural gas Methane. Right now, in Iceland, the company Carbon Recycling International is converting CO2 into the fuel alcohol Methanol, which is being sold in service stations in several European nations. In Japan, the electronics giant Panasonic has established a complete body of technology that, using sunlight to drive the process, converts CO2 into substitute natural gas Methane.

Further concerning Carbon Dioxide, and why it should be treated as a resource, rather than as a pollutant, the United States Navy and it's contractors have developed an entire suite of technologies that collects CO2 and, in some cases using environmental energy to drive the processes, converts CO2 into liquid hydrocarbon fuels. The latest example of their technology is seen in: "United States Patent 8,436,457 - Synthesis of Hydrocarbons Via Catalytic Reduction of CO2; Date: May 7, 2013; Inventors: Nick Tran, et. al.; DC, MD and VA; Assignee: The United States of America, as represented by the Secretary of the Navy".
We mentioned, below, the Icelandic company Carbon Recycling International, and the fact that they were now selling fuel alcohol Methanol made from CO2 in filling stations in Europe. Just a few weeks ago, they were awarded: "US Patent 8,506,910 - Process and System for Producing Liquid Fuel from Carbon Dioxide and Water; August 13, 2013; Assignee: CRI Ehf, Iceland"; which is a disclosure of technology that converts Carbon Dioxide, as specifically recovered from, as they put it "industrial plants and/or power plants", into not only fuel alcohol Methanol, but into Gasoline and Diesel, as well. Their technology, by the way, is founded on CO2-recycling tech first developed by a Nobel Prize-winning chemist in California. You just aren't being informed.
Who profits from the coal? The cheapest methods are being used to take the coal..the money is going outside the state. What is left? pollution and death. Sounds like we need regulation both financial and environmental. they call it energy exploitation! what a gas!
