‘Stand-Your-Ground’ Not Going Anywhere

Despite outcry, laws remain popular in home states

July 22, 2013

MIAMI — Despite an outcry from civil rights groups, a call for close examination by President Barack Obama and even a 1960s-style sit-in at the Florida governor’s office, the jury’s verdict that......

Who cares what the "law" is! Better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6!

Calling Zimmerman a murderer should result in criminal charges and also open the speaker up to liability for slander.

The criminals at the NAACP don't like Stand Your Ground because they like the idea of terrorizing white neighborhoods to "git wat we owed!".

The NR publishes a column from some skank named Kathleen Parker. Said skank said that she hopes that Zimmerman loses a civil suit from Martin's family.

Sharpton and the rest of his Race Pimp Mafia don't like the verdict so now they will cry and complain like the limited brain developed children they really are. They are also attempting to threaten Zimmerman and/or get him killed.

Sharpton is no stranger to inciting violence and setting people up for murder as he has done it in the past.

The whole thing is sick.

Ragnar = dimwitted moron of low character. Stand your ground is nothing more than a return to the Wild West days when your only hope for justice is a quick draw. Enjoy blowing your trumpets morons. Prepare your plates for crow when the injustice comes home to you.

The perception that Zimmerman was obviously guilty was created by the very biased US media. None seem to be writing about the how the case happened, that is, when it did occur the local prosecutor told police to keep investigating as there was not enough evidence to convict him. Enter the President, the political police and the US media and the case grew into true injustice. The commercial media perverts the justice system and gleefully creates hate, mistrust and violence. The State Atty who championed the guilty concept and was the darling of the press should be disbarred. You cannot find five people who knew the facts of the case or anything at all about Martin, even his size. For NBC when the facts did not fit the mob idea, they got caught altering the 911 tape that they palyed for America. Now we have to mobilize against a law that simply says you do not have to run or accept being victimized by street thugs. And Mr. Obama feels that is a bad thing, not the crime.

It's becoming clear that when Zimmerman saw that stranger prowling in his neighborhood he should have run for the hills. If we would all simply run when we sense something is wrong the horrific level of violence in America would drop to zero.

Me? I'm putting in escape doors in every room of my house, so when that home invader bursts in I won't put a running-man-shaped hole in my rear wall.

New American motto: "Who needs a gun when you can run?"

Acquitted by a jury does not prove you are innocent. I would love to hear Trayvon's side I've the story but he was murdered.

Can anyone doubt the resources and commitment of the Obama administration? Have you noticed that every time an event that contradicts his tenets happens, there is an immediate and extended protest too organized to be grass roots? Every politician does what it takes and says what they need to say in order to get elected, but rarely do they use their power in such a detrimental way once they are in power. All these actions serve to do is weaken this nation.

If states let this law stand, it's an excuse for the feds to cut state funds, as they did with seat belts & others.

Zero to HERO AGAIN!

"George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, emerged to help rescue a family who was trapped in an overturned vehicle, police said today.

Zimmerman was one of two men who came to the aid of a family of four -- two parents and two children -- trapped inside a blue Ford Explorer SUV that had rolled over after traveling off the highway in Sanford, Fla. at approximately 5:45 p.m. Thursday, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route Route 46, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot Martin.

By the time police arrived, two people - including Zimmerman - had already helped the family get out of the overturned car, the sheriff's office said. No one was reported to be injured.

That these conservative states, so many of them of the "God Fearing" nature find that they need a statute on the books which is "Stand your Ground" might be proof that while their God might be feared, their Christianity, of which they profess, is very thin on the skin.

@Getaclueless. You prefer to call the police, but you would rather stand there and take a chance of being killed till the police arrive. Just shows what a total moron you are. If your wife and children was there and could also be killed, would you still wait for the police? I wouldn't call the police till after "Boom Boom" the bad guy is dead, because if he is uninvited into my home he deserves whatever he gets. You need to quit sashaying down the street holding hands with Obozo, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Holder,Sharpton, and Jackson Maybe you don't care about living or you don't care about your families well being. I take pride in myself and I will protect my life and my families and friends if be needed

George, being the Good Samaritan that he is, had a fire extinglisher.

He took a chance getting out of his vehicle, seeing that he has a target on his back and a very recognizable face.

@Getaclue. If you're the neighborhood watch captain in your community and you notice a stranger walking slowly in a driving rain carrying a bag, which may contain burglary tools, what would you do?

That's right, you already said it, "You would call the cops". You would do exactly what GZ did!

GETACLUE, Sep-10-11, in Comments to NRI article “Battling Drug Abuse in W.Va” - “you should be shoot for being an UN-AMERICAN RIGHTS TRASHING TREASONIST!!! At the very least BEATEN about the HEAD AND FACE. I know just the guy to do it ...ME!!!”

So you appear to be sympathetic to both acts, Clueless. You think citizens should be shot for disagreeing with you, and you're willing to beat citizens about the head and face, too. Are you more like Martin or Zimmerman? Or like both?
