I think bad folks will do bad things. It doesn't take much intelligence to think through what you are about to do.

Let's just put them all in jail. It only costs $40k a year to feed, clothe, health care, housing, etc. as a prisoner. We spend $8k a year on each of our childrens education. Throw them all in jail and feed the growing industrial prison machine. Got to have more prisoners to feed the machine!

I have heard $ amounts of what these prescription drugs go for, what I would like to know is how do these addicts afford to pay the price? I agree with Dino-older people need to watch their pills are not being stolen from relatives as well. The 7 news just reported that ******e is the big problem and that people get addicted to high doses of pills and move up to ******e to get the same fix.

Something has to be "wrong" with people in a system that are prescribing 12 perscriptions for each US citizen, per year. I have not had a perscription for 2-3 years so someone is getting my allotment...

Sorry, I read your comments as wanting them to be arrested not just simply "over" prescribing.

3.7 BILLION perscriptions (refills are not counted in the Kaiser Report) in 2011 where filled in the US....That is 11.9 per US citizen.

dino, I did not call them out for dishonesty! Perscriptions drugs simply come from the doctor and then the pharmacist. The real point is that "legal" drugs is as much or more of a problem than illegal drugs!

In an aging community I imagine a lot of pills come from elderly parents and grandparents or just workman comp friends and not directly from dishonest doctors or pharmacists in Marshall County. Just my opinion , I could be wrong.

"Per capita, we have an extraordinary rate of young persons overdosing and dying from the use of these drugs, particularly prescription pills," Cramer said.

Where do prescription pills come from? How many doctors and pharmacists are on the list of the indicted?
