Try Keeping Up With A Mother

There is no such thing as a mother who doesn’t work, of course. Anyone who thinks so has never prayed for Divine intervention to stop a baby’s crying....

And these are the easy years. You can put the baby in a safe place. In a couple of years, you can no longer to that. I just wished a young relative with a 3 yr old a happy mothers day and said that I hoped she got the day off from daily chores. She said "you dont get mothers day off, you are just showed a bit of appreciated for cleaning up vomit, cleaning poop out of the potty chair, wiping snotty noses, having the patience of a saint, dealing with tantrums, etc"

As an imperfect mother, but one that has done very well, I can only say that it is when our own children have their children that they really come to appreciate the role of parent. That is when they appreciate the small things in life, a full night sleep, eating a meal without stopping to nurse a baby, and being the glue that gets it all done and still has a good attitude regardless of whining, complaints, and sibling disputes. Its when our kids finally see that parents had a life before kids,
