As he often does, Rev Cummings articulates our emotions and hopes and faith very well. Coping with the death of the young by disease can truly challenge your faith so its important that we endeavor to understand God's plan. I often wonder why, in this great country, we are not more involved in great struggles. In the past month the President gave a billion dollars in special foreign aid to Libya and Egypt to prop up their governments. Is that our problem? Why is not the billions spent in having our soldiers overseas in never ending wars that do not involve us and our goals, used to alleviate human suffering and disease. Why do spend those amounts overseas when there is suffering here? why do we threaten seniors and SS every time there is a political issue? Why do we need bake sales and run/walks to help buy prosthetic arms/legs for our fallen soldiers. The wealth of America seems no used for good deeds. I, for one, expected it to be different with Obama but its not at all.
