The great ponzi that is the US Govt. is coming to a head. The ones at the top are just not going to be able to keep adding more and more to the bottom of the pyramid much longer.Like all good pryamid schemes,it will finally fall on it's face.

"The sequester, I don't like it," he said. "No one should like it. But the sequester is there because the president insisted that it be there. Where's the president's plan to replace the sequester that he insisted upon?"

See, it's Bush's fault. Oh, that's right, Owebama's been president for 4 years and somehow sequestration is the Republicans, huh. How's that budget working out for ya Barry. Dumber than a bag of hammers!

Cure alcoholism with more alcohol??

Cure a spendaholic with more MONEY to spend?? B******T!

We got screwed on this in Dec with 2.5 CENTS, yeah 2.5 PENNIES in spending cuts for every DOLLAR in new taxes.

TAX the RICH cannot possibly solve the problem, DO THE MATH, Liberal Retards.

Letting tax cuts expire is not technically new taxes. In the case of SS 2.5%. Bush was robbing Peter to pay Paul. Never a good idea.

If current tax laws allow them to "hide" money in tax shelters, its not illegal you have to change the tax codes, many retired people live on interest and dividends for income but yet you only hear about people like Buffet CHANGE THE TAX LAWS why do I need to have tons of paper work to keep foe over 7 years because you have a business all money is not the same the reinvested money has already been taxed once and doesnt need to be taxed again at these high rates, look at Wheeling they cant get off the B/O crack tax yet it drives most businesses out of city limits. I wonder why Highlands is doing so well and Wheeling is suffering badly and has been, try value added tax if you add value to gas, oil, wood coal etc then it should be less of tax then just shipping it out of here. Think of jobs it would create here if we did that. Wood into furniture, gas through cracker, coal cleaned and preped etc

It is time to cut. When all of the local, state, and federal employees see their penisons cut and double dipping disappear like the private sector has done then real change will start to happen

daWraith - thanks once again for another moronic statement. I can always count on you. If you want to live here, pay taxes here. Facebook paid $0 taxes on $1,100,000,000 profit. while receiving a $429,000,000 tax credit. Plz explain to me again how my 89 year old mother-in-law is bankrupting the country by collecting SS and medicare benefits...

coffee, Noboma and his peeps dropped the SS tax! LOL

If you track all the taxes and fees you are paying to the local, state and federal goberment it is in the 50%+ range....We call that SOCIALISM when other countries collect that much! It just creeps on us in the US! 2% here 2% there adds up quickly! And for those that are responsible enough to insure for losses, that is another 15-20% of your income....does not leave much for groceries, heat and car payments!

A good start is to get rid of the 2,000 IRA Agents that are supposed enforce Obama Care. That's millions saved right off the top.

Let the record show that the 2% SS tax cut occurred under obama's watch and was his doing, not Bush's.

Even the AARP was against this. It cost the Social Security Trust Fund nearly 250 billion dollars over the two year period it was in effect. Threatening future benefits.

Once again, thanks obama!

@Shemph. It may be worse than 2,000 new IRS agents.

I have seen estimates ranging from 6,500 to 16,500 new agents will be needed to collect the new taxes and enforcement of coverage.

Coughy "Plz explain to me again how my 89 year old mother-in-law is bankrupting the country by collecting SS and medicare benefits...

"

She ISN'T! OK?? I AGREE!

It is being bankrupted by the BOGUS SS DISABILITY CLAIMS by homeboyz in Detroit, Chicago, LA who CAN'T FIND A JOB!

SS USED to be a trust fund, Politicians MOVED it to the GENERAL FUND and then SPENT IT ALL !!!

Why does OBAMA'S Halilburton, Generous Electric, make $14 BILLION profit and pay ZERO taxes because they filed a 59,000 page tax return????!!!!

The whole freaking KING JAMES BIBLE doesn't amount to a fraction of that!!!

Because your CRONY CAPITALIST Dummorats play WINNERS and LOSERS in the marketplace.

$12 BILLION spent on Green companies that went BANKRUPT!!!!

ALL your MESSIAH at work, homeboy, don't blame ME!

coffee. Just because money has been deposited in off shore accounts doesn't mean corporate taxes haven't been paid. The money is there because corporations fear the government will confiscate their funds just as they did in Brazil.

If the IRS suspected these corporations where trying to cheat the gov of their tax dollars, they would be all over them. In fact, many large corporations have the IRS there all year round.

daWraith is correct. The number of SSI recipients has increased by 12.3 million sonce this day in 2008. Putting a real strain on the SS system.

The 2% obama payroll tax reduction for two years further damaged SS by roughly 250 billion dollars.

Nothing this pos is doing is safeguarding SS.

Thanks obama

After hiring a Sec of the Treasury who couldn't figure his own income tax, Obama now has nominated a Sec of the Treasury who tanked a hedge fund division of Citi Bank, then made a million $ bonus after receiving a taxpayer bailout and had investments in the Cayman Islands!!!

In addition to G.E. and G.M. paying NO taxes we can now add FaceBook to the list! From the Huffington Post; "Facebook will rake in $429 million in net tax refunds for the year, the report said, citing Facebook's recent annual financial report. The company earned $1.1 billion in U.S. corporate profits last year."

And yet the low information voters believe the Democratic party to be the ones in favor of the working man while the Republicans are the party of corporate nepotism!!

A 1/2 billion to Facebook, a 1/2 billion to Solyndra!! I'm sure this is Bush's fault or the minority party (R's).

If we could just figure out a way that ALL Americans could bear the brunt of these corporate give aways......

Oh that's right, we have!!! It's called Obama's fiscal policy!!!!
