#1 Boscov's is great store. Been shopping there for many years. Also Al Boscov is a wonderful person and businessman. I know people who work in his office, He is widely respected and a hero to them. Prices are great and it compares to high in stores in appearance.

This is a great thing for the OV Mall. Boscov's is a class act. Sears and KameApart had better get their game on.

I shopped at the Boscov store in the South Hills Village in Pittsburgh & it is a very nice store. They took the place vacated by Kaufmanns when Macy's acquired them, and there was already a Macy's at that mall. Unfortunately, the Boscov store closed after a few years...never heard why. Hopefully the St.Clairsville store will fare better and stick around.

Al Molnar has to be upset about this...He seemingly spends all day/every day busybodying around the mall, snooping around trying to find gossip to print in his weekly 'roundup' column, and when this announcement was made, someone else beat him to the story. Poor Al!

The Boscov that closed in PA., one was at So. Hills Village. That was by group that bought the chain from Al Boscov. They ran the stores into the ground. Al was upset, worried his lifes work would go down the drain. So, he put up his own money, plus some backers, one mentioned in story & bought back the company. He is very involved. Even puts his staff on a bus & they all go to NY to personally examine goods before making buying decisions. The chain is doing fantastic since he took back the company. You are going to love Boscov's. Beautiful store, great merchandise and fantastic pricing. I am just a Boscov customer.

tdolan: I know EXACTLY what Chapter 11 is, I was just making a statement. Too bad you can't spell.

If you know anything about the Valley big box stores don't do well unless you are Walmart or Lowes... so tell me again, how's Kmart and Sears doing again?
